Here is some information on the main ingredients of our pump action hand soaps, creams, and sanitisers. Valda products smell great, look lovely on the shelf, are reasonably priced, fair trade, cruelty free and all our packaging is recyclable.

All Valda products are certified by The Department of Ayurveda, Sri Lanka, and certified Vegan & Organic.

Wild Turmeric

Almost all Valda Organic products contain Wild Tumeric. it grows in abundance in Sri Lanka where it’s used in a wide variety of ways from cooking to healthy drinks. We like it because it’s a natural antiseptic with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties known to reduce scarring and help heal wounds, making it a natural fit for our range of soothing soaps, sanitisers and hand creams.

Lavender

The health benefits of Lavender have been known for over 2000 years - the word lavender comes from a Latin word ‘Lavare’, which means to wash, and the Egyptians and Greeks, two of the oldest civilizations of the world, have records of using it for perfumes and medicinal purposes. Nowadays, the essential oil is often used to ease migraines, and calm the senses, as well as a fragrance. We love its natural antiseptic properties as well as the colour and scent.

Coconut

Nature's wonder, Coconut has many reasons to recommend it, whether consumed or used in our products. Coconut oil contains a unique combination of minerals and fatty acids and lots of vitamin E, making it an excellent moisturiser, even for very dry skin.
